Cohen Eye Institute is excited to introduce a new provider, Dr. Inrava Khasnabish, who will be joining our team on July 1st, 2021. Dr. Khasnabish will be providing comprehensive eye care, and specializes in contact lens fitting and pediatric eye care for patients age 5 and up. Originally from Massachusetts, Dr. Khasnabish graduated cum laude with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Pre-Medical Health Studies from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (MCPHS) University in Boston where she pursued the seven year BS-OD program. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honors Society and the recipient of both the Academic Achievement and Dean’s Merit Scholarships throughout her seven years at MCPHS University. Dr. Khasnabish then pursued an extra year of residency in Ocular Disease and Family Practice at Virginia Eyecare Clinic to further advance her skills. Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Khasnabish moved to New York City. In the last few years Dr. Khasnabish has spent time working alongside corneal, uveal, and retina specialists in addition to providing pediatric care and trauma consultations at a local level one trauma center.
Dr. Khasnabish is a Board Certified Optometrist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO), a member of The Optometric Society of The City of New York (OSCONY), and the American Optometric Association. When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Khasnabish enjoys writing articles for eyecare related blogs and magazines, cooking, and spending time with her family back in Massachusetts. Dr. Khasnabish speaks several languages, including French and Bengali and is excited to bring her expertise and sense of service and community engagement to our practice.
